I am a 25 year old  who was diagnosed 3 years ago with a degenerative eye disease which is causing me to go completely blind over the next 10 years. To make matters worse I am an accomplished fine artist and have studied art all over the world.  How can I make a living as an artist now that I am going blind? So i felt sorry for myself and friends and family did nothing but comisserate with me and offered no help. Then I met Don and he helped me realize that in order to move ahead I had to rid myself of self-pity and make a plan over the next 10 years to create as much art, to see as much of the world as I can and to learn a new career that will work even though I might be blind.  It took a year of working with him to realize that I am a natural born healer and with his encouragement I attended a full year of massage therapy training and just received my license as a Certified Massage Therapist.  Now I work with yoga centers, chiropractic centers and sports therapy camps. My art work is selling, I have been asked to exhibit my art in several shows!  I have also been commissioned to create murals in several key locations! I never knew how much life coaching would do for me. It was well worth it.

I was a suicidal teen when Don met me.  I had been in and out of re-hab for many years.  I met Don through a friend of mine when I was 19 years old. My father had just died and left me a small fortune.  This was many years ago when Don was struggling in his business and I gave him a loan which he paid back. He wanted to know all about me and took an interest in my dreams and desires. No one had ever taken me seriously before. They thought I was some drug addicted stupid surfer kid from Orange County.  It was a long road and during the time of the loan I pissed away all of my inheritance on drugs and partying.  When Don paid me back it was the only money I had left.  Don took me under his wing and taught me computer animation when it was in its infancy.  Through his encouragement, I felt worth something for the first time in my life. I made the choice to get sober and to get my life back on track. Now I am a top animator making a 6 figure living in Los Angeles. All it took was for someone to care enough about me to help me understand that I was worth a lot more than I thought.

When Don met me I was 14 years old and was playing in a school soccer tournament in Columbus, OH. Don had invented an automated DJ system that he was installing in Dick Clark's American Bandstand Grill.  Our team had dinner there, and I hung out with Don and asked him all about his system.  While we were talking he started asking me about my goals and interests and wanted to know if I had any dreams of being anything.  I told him I was interested in acting, and he told me I had a good look for it.  He gave me his card and told me to give it to my mother and if they were interested in talking with me more to call him.  My mother called him and was quite skeptical, but agreed to fly out to Los Angeles to meet with Don.  While I was there, Don helped me secure a top agent and a screen test. He helped me find the right schools and helped me to overcome my fears.  I called him and he always responded when he had time. He was a great friend, mentor and coach.  My career was doing well, I was studying with top teachers and flying between Los Angeles and New York.  Thanks to Don's advice and guidance, I realized my wildest dreams.... I still call Don and I am now 26 years old and working in New York.

I was working in a restaurant when I met Don Blanton. He came up to me and gave me his card and told me that I was great with people and that if I had ever thought of working on a cruise ship to give him a call. He then left as he was in a hurry.  At first I was excited, and then when I got home my mother thought it was a scam or that Don wanted something from me.  I took the chance and called and met Don at his office. He was not only legit, but talked to me about my life and where it was going. I had just finished college and majored in communications, but I had no idea what to do in my life.  I came back to see Don several times, and ended up through his connections getting a job on a cruise ship as a social director. While on board, I met the most beautiful wonderful woman in my life. It turned out that her father was the president of a large oil company in Texas.  I worked on board for a couple of years and married that wonderful woman.  I now work for her father in a very lucrative job.  Don helped me realize that my social skills were important, and that since I liked being with people that i should explore a job that interacts with people!  Don may have opened the door, but I ran through it and seized everything I could!  Talk to Don, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. Sometimes he can be brutally honest, but you want that....trust me!
